![]() The supplier is well known and having consumed 271 dozen oysters and 260 kilos of prawns I’m yet to speak to anyone who was concerned regarding them as you comment, so I wonder who it is you spoke to? There were 7 vegetable dishes and 8 salad dishes on the buffet throughout the entire service period, cheese platters were large and plentiful and there were several ( 4 to be exact) Christmas Carols have played throughout the Resort since the 10th December, with a mix of old style and more modern versions of traditional classics. The prawns and oysters used across the Resort are local WA product, where on ice the entire service with the ice replenished several times. The menu and pricing of the lunch was set in July and you were charged the correct price as to the age of the children ( again much like an airline seat on a plane) so if you did not want to pay the price knowing what it was why did you book to have lunch with us? I was part of the team on the floor of the event on the day and your comment re a que is correct, but it was not 10 min as you write and at no time was there 60% of empty dishes anywhere across the buffet. ![]() Do you have the same thought process when purchasing an airline ticket, ie purchasing an economy seat and expecting to be upgraded to business / first class without paying for it? I take umbrage at your comment that you were forced to pay full price for your children. ![]() I’m sorry you were not able to get hot chocolates for the children, it was not part of the advertised package available on the day and therefore not sure why you would think this was not going to cost you more. I can’t comment on warm beer but can advise it was not warm coming out of the chiller. We are a Carlton United outlet, (CUB) sand have used their products throughout the Resort for over 12 months. Have you seen this wine in liquor stores or for sale elsewhere, as the deal we have with the supplier is that it’s not available in retail outlets? The Resort has used this wine for approximately 2 years, having used it through numerous weddings, conferences and events and without exception we have not received feedback such as yours, one National conference having had their formal dinner with us and enjoyed the wine so much the event organiser arranged 2 bottles ( a red and a White) to be delivered to each delegate the next day whilst the delegates were away from the Resort. The shortage of food you comment on was only while the chefs were bringing food from the kitchen to replace and replenish, at the time you took the photo there were 3 chefs with a trolley right there, about to replace and replenish ( I was in fact standing right next to you when you took the photo and about to help the chefs), I’m not sure how you believe the dishes should be replace or replenished when required? The Christmas lunch Buffet did include beer, wine and soft drink, as advertised since July of this year but not $10.00 bottles of wine as you describe. The Christmas lunch buffet was in fact double sided ( you appear to have missed seeing this on the day by your comments) with a mirror image on both sides. As you comment, guests were also seated in the Atrium area, with the seating allocation done to best suit everyone who is attending taking into account the needs and requirements of those who require highchairs, prams, wheelchairs etc. Your table was in the Resorts Ballroom, and its normal for Hotel / Resort ballrooms not to have windows, but ours actually does, however these were closed and had Christmas themed nativity scenes in front of them dotted around the room for guests to enjoy. How did you decide the staff were overwhelmed? Do you know something about ratios of staff to event numbers? They were certainly busy serving the guests, that was there task on the day and from guests comments and personal observation they did it very well. Did you speak to anyone regarding your issues on the day, our investigation suggests you did not. Comments from guests such as and I quote ’ food was awesome, lunch great, best Christmas food we have ever eaten, fantastic choices, we will be back again next year’ from both new guests attending for the first time but also repeat family guests ranging from 11 years to 3 years suggest the event was a success. Dear Jammit, Reading your comments and having spoken to many of the hundreds of guests who enjoyed Christmas Lunch with us on the day I’m unclear if we were at the same event.
