![]() She was an avid fan of OU sports and Thunder basketball. They dearly loved their 4 dachshunds: Gretchen, Brunhilda, Kristy, and Katy. They especially enjoyed collecting Indian art and artifacts during their travels. After retirement, they traveled extensively and enjoyed many trips to North Dakota. They enjoyed going to the lake, boating, water skiiing and their lake house on Keystone Lake. They were married on July 5, 1960, in Stilwell, OK, and had 53 years together before Don passed on November 3, 2013. Lawson, while attending college in Tahlequah. She later completed her Master’s degree as a Reading Specialist at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. After graduating from Bacone College, located in Muskogee, OK, in 1954, she attended Northeastern State College in Tahlequah, OK, graduating with a BS degree in elementary education in 1956. Sue was of Lakota Sioux and Hidatsa decent. ![]() Her parents were Robert Charles and Mary (Fox) Goudreau. Sue was born on November 15, 1936, in Elbowoods, ND, located in the Fort Berthold Reservation. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601. A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at St. Those who loved her, often called her Sue, Susie Q, Miss Sue and Aunt Sue.Ī Rosary Ceremony will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, April 14, 2023, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Thanks to her faithful caregivers, her final days were peaceful and spent at home. On Saturday, April 1, 2023, Sue Carole Goudreau Lawson went to be with our Lord and live life after life.
